Trying to integrate into society after leaving prison can be very difficult for many people, especially young people who did not necessarily have the best start in life. Finding a job and a place to live can be challenging.
Building Foundations is a London based organization that helps young people, including youth offenders, realize their full potential and reintegrate back into society. They offer support and help for ex offenders with housing. Helping ex offenders integrate into society is the first step towards a positive change that can help reduce the amount of crime and keeps young people out of prison.
Building Foundation will liaise with the Youth Offending Service as well as working in partnership with the Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults team. We can also provide remand placements for young people who have been charged with an offence and are awaiting trial by the courts. Our staff works closely with Local Authority YOT Team and Youth Justice officials to ensure that all the conditions of bail are adhered to and short-term placements go as smoothly as possible.
